How Selling Works
Selling your eBike on the WattMatch is secure, transparent, and completely eliminates the risk of buyer fraud.
Step 1: Create a Listing
Quickly get your eBike in front of thousands of verified buyers with our guided listing process.
Upload photos: Upload clear photos of your bike, battery labels, and proof of ownership.
Pricing strategy: Set your asking price and choose your preferred fee structure.
Step 2: Buyer Commits Funds
When a buyer purchases your bike, they pay via Stripe Checkout ensuring complete payment security.
Secure Escrow: Their money is securely locked in our secure Escrow.
Guaranteed funds: You will see that the funds are secured before you hand over the bike.
Step 3: Handover (Collection or Delivery)
Safely hand over the bike in person or dispatch it via our trusted delivery service, knowing funds are secured.
In-Person Collection: Meet the buyer in a public location. They inspect the bike and provide you with a 6-digit PIN to confirm final acceptance.
Shipped Delivery: If using our delivery service, carefully pack the bike. The buyer will have a strict 48-hour functional inspection window upon delivery.
Secure Communication: Always use our secure messaging system to coordinate handover details or tracking updates.
Step 4: Payout & Digital Title
Once accepted, the secure Escrow process begins your payout and transfers the Digital Title. Your funds are held securely and released after the applicable escrow hold.
Payout Timing (Collection): For in-person collections, your sale is confirmed once you enter the buyer's 6-digit PIN. Your payout is then held securely in escrow (typically 48 hours) before release.
Payout Timing (Delivery): For shipped deliveries, payment is triggered once the buyer approves the bike or the 48-hour inspection window expires.
Bank Transfer via Stripe: Once the escrow hold has passed, your funds are deposited to your bank account via Stripe Connect.
Digital Transfer: The buyer formally receives a Digital Title proving their new ownership of the bike.
